Ian Moutter is a well established and respected fly fishing instructor, writer, fly tyer, fly designer and casting demonstrator. He is a full member of The Game Angling Instructors Association (G.A.I.A), the professional body for game angling instructors in the UK, and holds the Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor qualification (A.P.G.A.I.) in all three categories:- Salmon, Trout & Sea Trout and Fly Dressing. He also holds the Salmon & Trout Association National Instructors Certificate (S.T.A.N.I.C.) and The Scottish Game Angling Instructors Certificate (S.G.A.I.C.) and is the current Chairman of The Game Angling Instructors Association.

Ian Moutter regularly demonstrates at game and country fairs including major national events like The Royal Highland Show, where he has been the lead demonstrator for the last two years. He has written two books on fishing and fly dressing, which have been well received around the world. In addition he has written for magazines both in the UK and USA. Ian Moutter specialises in teaching spey casting, advanced casting e.g. double haul and roll cast variants, for single and double handed rods and fly tying. Specialised fishing instruction includes sea trout fishing and atlantic salmon fishing on large and small rivers.
___________________________________________________________________________Ian runs fly fishing and fly casting courses throughout the UK, from Scotland down to Cornwall and offers tuition for fly fishing and fly casting for individuals, groups and corporate. His techniques for teaching fly casting, fly fishing and fly tying have been developed on a practical basis over many years, allowing even beginners to enjoy fly fishing, fly casting and fly tying from day one and experienced and expert anglers develop their skills even further. Ian Moutter Fishings runs courses for Salmon, Sea Trout, Trout and Grayling. The year begins with Grayling in January then on to Salmon fishing in February and March. Then Trout until May. From the middle of May to August most of the fishing is for Sea Trout (sea run brown trout). September sees us back for a short time for Trout until the end of the Trout season. October to December is reserved for Salmon.
